Why am I doing this challenge?

I want to encourage anybody out there to journal and write out their thoughts or feelings. It might be awkward for some, but this is to push everyone out of their comfort zone. That is the only way to grow is to stretch yourself a little bit more than you did yesterday. You can do it, I am right here doing the challenge with you! Everybody loves a little motivation so……

Whoever posts this challenge gets a FREE Audiobook of Unorthodox Words!!

Look, I know everybody is not a fan of expressing their emotions. Even if you are talking to the wall when you are alone in your room, it can still be uncomfortable. We are taught to just push through and suck it up, and never really given the steps on how to dive deep into our emotions.

This challenge is to help everybody get in the habit of reflecting and pausing for a few minutes a day. If you don’t want to dive deep, I get it. I have been there. But for my people that do, this will start giving you a chance to really understand what you are going through. That simple pause everyday will create a small pocket of time for just YOU. It will allow you to get things off your chest that have been heavy, it will allow you to remember some of the amazing things that have happened in your life that you maybe forgot, it will allow you to get to know YOU better.

Be patient with yourself.

If you are just staring at the journal prompt for 10 minutes and nothing comes to you, it is okay. This is a 4 day challenge but if you get off track, just try again and start again. Journaling has helped me through my depression and has kept my mental health in check SO much. If you need some clarity, or guidance, or you just want to push yourself to reflect more, try this challenge with me!
